Is the Nantucket Wine Festival the best wine festival in the U.S.?  For the most discerning of palettes, we think the answer might possibly be a resounding yes!  The 2016 installment of the 20th Annual Nantucket Wine Festival will take place on May 18-22, 2016.  Tickets for the main events go on sale on November 15th, while tickets for the seminars and smaller sessions will be available for purchase on January 15th, 2016.  Among the highlights of last year’s event were several Bordeaux and Burgundy Grand Cru tastings, Kosta Browne and Stag’s Leap tastings, plus a 1982 vintage Bordeaux luncheon.  There was also a “once in a lifetime” wine dinner commemorating  the 70th anniversary of Bordeaux’s 1945 vintage!   The festival concludes with  a trio of grand tastings and a Sunday brunch in the Culinary Tent on Children’s Beach overlooking Nantucket Harbor.  For details and more information, please see www.nantucketwinefestival.com.
